Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock – play live!

Play Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock with a friend or enemy live over the web to break a tie, resolve a ‘debate’, or kill time before Game of Thrones comes on.

Why?

Online dispute resolution used to be tedious, so I made this.

How to play

  1. Send the link above to your frenemy.
  2. Wait here for them to show up.
  3. The game begins automatically when your friend arrives.

3Doodler

Printingpen
#mashable
The advent of 3D printing introduced the convenience of quickly making designs a reality, and one company is bringing this creative ease to your fingertips. 3Doodler, dubbed the "world's first 3D printing pen," lets you draw three-dimensional structures in midair.
Toy and robotics company WobbleWorks created the pen to make 3D printing affordable and accessible. While most 3D printers can cost you thousands of dollars, 3Doodler is available for preorder on Kickstarter for $75.
"If you can scribble, trace or wave a finger in the air you can use a 3Doodler," the designers say on their site.

This color picker’s unique, minimal interface is surprisingly intuitive and useful

colorpicker

Color is easily one of the most prominent elements of design, but color pickers tend to be rather mundane tools — nothing like the physical process of mixing inks or paints.
Not everything out there is dull, however: we’ve spent time looking at unique color tools before, including services like 0 to 255 and Colllor, and now this free color picker by Lyst founder Devin Hunt has our attention.
Hunt’s minimal interface makes his tool particularly interesting. On load, the entire window fills with a single color. Move your mouse left and right to adjust the hue, move it up and down to adjust the lightness and scroll to change the saturation.
Once you’ve found something you like, click to save your selection. Then, the window splits so you can select your next color.

It’s simplistic, yet the interface manages to be surprisingly inspiring, making it worth a quick look for every designer. That the service favors hex codes makes it even better – if you’re focused on the Web.

Your World of Text

Your World of Text is an infinite grid of text editable by any visitor. The changes made by other people appear on your screen as they happen. Everyone starts in the same place, but you can scroll through the world using your mouse.
Put any letters at the end of the URL to go to a new world. For example, http://yourworldoftext.com/forexample. They all start off blank. You can also create a custom world for you and your friends.

Who wrote the 'Death Note' script?

Beginning in May 2009 and up to October 2009, there appeared online a PDF file (mirror) claiming to be a script for the Hollywood remake of the Death Note anime (see Wikipedia or my own little Death Note Ending essay for a general description). Such a leak inevitably raises the question: is it genuine? Of course the studio had no comment.
