Who wrote the 'Death Note' script?

Beginning in May 2009 and up to October 2009, there appeared online a PDF file (mirror) claiming to be a script for the Hollywood remake of the Death Note anime (see Wikipedia or my own little Death Note Ending essay for a general description). Such a leak inevitably raises the question: is it genuine? Of course the studio had no comment.

Its a Technological writer's point of view who was going to buy AppleCare+ at an Apple Store, but passed the new Microsoft Store built next to it!
He went in to try the new Surface tablet, and here's the last para he wrote regarding the experience-

"it’s not for me at all. Not even for testing, experimenting, or curiosity. It feels too much like using a Windows PC, which was exactly Microsoft’s intention, and it will appeal to people who want that. But that’s a world I fled 8 years ago with no intention of returning."
